This session equips school-based administrators with the knowledge and tools to confidently and effectively address classified employee performance concerns. Participants will gain a clear understanding of established processes, including how to collect and document evidence, deliver specific and actionable feedback, and navigate performance issues with consistency and clarity. The session highlights critical steps, common pitfalls to avoid, and best practices that promote transparency and shared understanding. It also emphasizes strategies for leading productive, professional conversations—even in challenging situations—while setting appropriate timelines and using effective evaluation techniques. In addition, participants will explore ways to provide meaningful support to classified employees in need of improvement, with a focus on fostering professional growth, accountability, and stronger performance outcomes. Ultimately, this session is designed to strengthen administrators’ capacity to develop, support, and retain high-quality staff in service of improved schoolwide success.
