Strong school-based SISP teams are a key lever for improving student wellness, engagement, attendance, behavior, and academic success. However, their impact depends heavily on leadership understanding and support. This session helps school and district leaders identify the structures, leadership moves, and schoolwide conditions that allow SISP teams to function effectively. Participants will learn what strong implementation looks like, how to recognize common barriers, and how leadership decisions around time, communication, data access, and shared ownership directly influence team effectiveness. Leaders will leave with practical ways to better support and sustain multidisciplinary student support teams within their schools and departments.
