About me
Dr. Janeen Perry-Campbell is the Director of Student Agency in the Office of Professional Learning, where she champions student voice, ownership, and engagement. A lifelong educator with more than 20 years of experience, Janeen has served as a high school science teacher, Master STEM Teacher, adjunct professor, assistant principal, principal, and district leader.She holds degrees from Old Dominion University (B.S. in Biology and Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction), Virginia State University (M.Ed.), and Capella University (MBA). Her research on disciplinary outcomes for Black girls has been presented at national and international conferences.When she’s not advancing educational excellence, Janeen is exploring new destinations around the world, serving as President of the Raleigh-Durham Chapter of the Norfolk State University Alumni Association, and supporting her beloved Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. A true music lover, her playlists often feature Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, DeBarge, and Switch. She is a proud mom to Nia and Zoe, a flight attendant, and dog mom to Ivy Coco. Janeen brings passion, purpose, and a little fun to everything she does.
