About me
Kimberly Hall Burton, a veteran educator with 30 years of experience in public education, is currently employed by the Wake County Public School System in Cary, North Carolina. Kimberly joined the Wake County Public School System in 2000. She began her career, in 1994, in the state of Virginia, where she served as Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, and Reading Recovery Teacher.
Upon transitioning to the Wake County Public School System, Kimberly has served as Title I Intervention Teacher, Title I District Coordinating Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. Currently, Kimberly serves as the district’s Director of Title I Programs.
Kimberly received her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership at High Point University in High Point, North Carolina on May 7, 2021.
Possessing a strong desire to serve underrepresented schools, students and families, Kimberly is an advocate for equitable instructional opportunities that meet the needs of all learners. She is happily married to her husband of 25 years. They are the proud parents of two children, Kameron and Kennedy.
