About me
My name is Laura Wood and I am the Environmental Connections Integration Specialist at Lincoln Heights Environmental Connections Magnet Elementary school. My school is in Fuquay-Varina in southern Wake County and it is a public magnet school in the Wake County Public School System. I am a certified NC Environmental Educator and this is the perfect job for me. I get to share my love of the environment with the staff and students. I collaborate with teachers to plan lessons that integrate the environment and help them take learning outside. I also apply for grants and awards, line up guest speakers, plan field trips and so much more!
